How Do I Learn Everything Alongside My Work? – Business Growth London

The question is how do I implement the
training into my business instead of alongside it? So, Simon you are just
getting unmuted there you are…Simon Hiya! Yeah, I’m trying to sort of
explain. I think really what it is is that I need to probably source,
because I’m relatively new to to ActionCOACHing, and I think I
probably need to sit down and sort of start from scratch. I’ve sort of grabbed
a bits and bobs and in a way I think what is actually done is made me
probably more disjointed than I already was, in a funny kind of way does that
sort of make sense? So what you’re really saying is that you’re relatively
new, which I know you are, to actually ActionCOACH, or to working on your business in
this form, and therefore you’re saying rather than making it alongside, how do I make
it an integral part of the business? And it feels right now to you as if it’s
another thing to work on, it feels disjointed. That’s what you’re
saying? Yeah, exactly that. Yeah, okay. Perfect. That clarifies so guys how
do you make this an integral part of your business? What’s your experience and
you need to remember how it felt when you were starting versus how it is now.
So what would be your suggestion to Simon. And he’s literally, I mean Simon
if I’m correct, you’ve just had a couple of sessions right now and the planning
session isn’t it? So it’s not like you have even completed one month or a couple
of months with coaching, you’re very very new. Right, Simon, yeah? Yep yep,
That’s exactly it. So, guys, what would you suggest to Simon? What’s the best way
what works for you? So, I’ll just, I’m waiting for comments and
then I’ll read it out to you Simon. So, some of the comments, guys please give
comments because this is so helpful to someone who’s relatively new, and hearing
it from you, listening to it from you, your comments makes
hell of a lot of a difference. So, how do you make sure that it’s not a separate thing and
you make it part of your business, the integral part of how you’re working. So
they say here, trust the process. It seems separate till you get better at
it. So that’s what Radek is saying. So it feels separate till you get better at at
it. And then it feels a lot more aligned and trust the process.
Bob you’re writing ActionCOACH helps me plan my work, then at work, I work my plan.
Right, so it helps me plan my work and then I work my plan. And that’s that’s
the disjoint bit actually, that’s happening in the business. It’s not a bad
thing Simon, that’s how I see. That if you feel it’s something different, yeah it is
something different! It’s not something what you’ve been doing it from, you know,
over your last years. So if it feels like you’re sitting down, you’re thinking
differently, you’re working differently, you’re planning differently, and then
it’s another thing to do along with your others bits that are happening? It’s fine.
It’s the habit formation that’s happening. So, I’ll actually go back to my
analogy which I was talking about but but first let’s read some more points
here. So, Kim you’ve written here I found it overwhelming at first. I suggest you
break everything up into small chunks and focusing on getting one thing right
at a time. This is another very important thing I remind clients. A great point
there Kim. It’s not a sprint guys. It’s a marathon. There’s a reason why
multi-million sized businesses have been working with us for the last ten years,
seven years, six years, five years, you name it. And they’re all good, solid,
successful businesses. Because it’s not a sprint it’s a marathon made of small sprints. And you take one thing, you really do it well, you start seeing the
results, and then there’s a next level. And there is a next level of complexity
that needs to be taken care of. So that’s how the business moves. So break it down
into small parts and focus on one thing, rather than trying to eat and
swallow everything in one go and feeling overwhelmed.
Jay you’ve written here thank you Shweta, I have to go, yeah that’s fine.
Simon, ask lots of questions and you will eventually find the strength that
helps you. So again, clarify, don’t just sit and be confused. Thanks Jay,
take care. call it said time in your diary each day or to work on action
coach items and on the business read lots of books and start to bring the
ideas the key members of the team and encourage them to engage and why call it
is saying that son because more you will involve your team
and engaged make them engage in the process it becomes easier for you to
delegate and you can therefore actually get things done because you’re not the
one who’s trying to do everything. And the point is Simon for the first, I would
say, five to eight months, yes there is more time, and more effort, because you’re
not used to it. So it’s okay. But over a period you will see that it becomes a
lot easier. You understand how the rhythm is flowing, it starts releasing more
value, more time for yourself, the team becomes better, you start seeing the
benefits. But in the beginning it’s like going to the gym: muscles hurt, you
don’t want to do it, it feels disjointed, you have to go against your will. But
then as you get into the habit you actually start enjoying this. You get
addicted to it, in a good way, and start seeing the benefits of it. In fact you
miss it if you’re not going to the gym or not doing this kind of strategic
thinking in work. Neel, you’re saying really good question, I felt very similar.
So much to think about and to do all at once. For me, slow right down. Do just one
thing a week, each will have a positive effect. Also, you must dedicate time to do
it. So, I now take one day a week to work from home, so I’m less disturbed and can
focus on my objective for this week. Absolutely Neel. Great comment there.
And Neil, you’ve written here as someone who’s also new decide on your goals and start
to integrate ASAP. Believe in the future goals. Know why you’re doing it, why are
you willing to go through the pain, and I’ll really recap this for everyone on
the call right now, not just what Simon has asked, but overall you know in
in business or in life. When you’re feeling that strain or that stress or
that pain or it’s not like it’s not flowing, everyone out there, you ask
them, saying, do you wanna achieve more in life? And they’ll be like, yeah, yeah, of course
I want to achieve more I want to become better and I want to have more. But the question really is
what pain are you willing to go through for that? What are you willing to become
and what are you willing to do to actually achieve that? And there are not
very many people who are willing to go through the pain to achieve and to
become what they really want the become. So Simon when you feeling that it’s a great
thing. At the same time all the practical tips which people have given you here,
who have gone through the process, pay attention to that. And I’ll also make
sure that next session we also just make sure that you are having that time in
the diary, you’re very clear as to what needs to be done, and we’re doing it in small chunks.
Just to make sure that we’re not getting overwhelmed. Is that ok? That, that will do it. That’ll be spot on, that will do it.
